Had I chosen to study History at SOAS or a joint degree with History, I'd have to take a course called Approaches to History. Now, here at SOAS we read a lot. I mean A LOT. The readings are heavy. The book that was mentioned first on the recommended reading list of that course was McNeill, J.R., and McNeill, W.H., The Human Web: A Bird’s Eye View of World History (Norton, 2003). Ring a bell, anyone? Maybe Verkottunut ihmiskunta woud do the trick. A book that I've actually read through MULTIPLE times and studied thoroughly. And why is it that I'm not studying history?

I totally agree. Where there's a will, there's a way!
